Room Rental Agreement

Rental Fees:

Rental fee for studio space is as follows:

½ Hour:  $25.00 Bank Draft / $26.00 Credit Card

1 Hour:  $45.00 Bank Draft / $46.75 Credit Card

Short Term Renters:        

This fee includes the use of one dance room, stereo, lobby, restroom and vending machines. The rental fee is due at the time of booking the studio space to HOLD YOUR ROOM.  There is a 24-hour cancellation policy.  If you need to cancel and you do not cancel within 24 hours of your rental, you will still be responsible for the full payment.  Payments may be made in the form of cash, check or credit card.

Long Term Renters:        

This fee includes the use of one dance room, lobby, restroom and vending machines.  The rental fee is due the first of every month to RESERVE your room.  Bank draft information or a credit card must be on file for the monthly payment.  Cancellations must be done in writing before the 1^st of the month, otherwise you will be responsible for the rental payment IN FULL.

Insurance:                     

DSOD or SDPP LLC DOES NOT carry medical insurance for its students or individuals renting studio space.  It is required that all dancers and those renting studio space be covered by their own insurance policy.  If injury occurs, it is understood that the student’s/renter’s own policy is the only source of reimbursement.  Dana’s Studio of Dance or SDPP LLC is NOT responsible for any injuries.

I agree that as part of consideration of renting from Dana’s Studio of Dance, SDPP LLC, to indemnity, release and hold harmless Dana’s Studio of Dance, SDPP LLC, and its officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from and against any and all loss, damage, injury, liability, and claims arising out of renting at Dana’s Studio of Dance.

Damages:

If any equipment is broken or damaged during the rental of the facility or if there is any damage to the facility, the renter will be financially responsibility for the repairs for the damages or the replacement of equipment if necessary.

Responsibilities:             

All renters MUST take trash out, sweep and clean up after their rental.  There is no eating or drinking in the studio rooms except for water.  All lights and stereos must be turned OFF.  If there are other people in the studio when the renter leaves, it is the renter’s responsibility to make sure that the last person has a way to lock the building and set the alarm.  Depending on your rental time, you may be entrusted with a key to lockup.  If you are the last to leave the building, YOU MUST LOCK ALL DOORS AND SET THE ALARM!  If you fail to lock the doors and set the alarm, you will be charged a $75 fee.  If you fail to return the key to DSOD, you will be charged a $100 key return fee.    

Use of Items:                 

DSOD will NOT automatically provide you with any tables, chairs, or lobby furniture, unless you have specified your need for those specific items at the time of booking.

Room Changes:             

DSOD reserves the right to change the room schedule as needed to best suit the needs of the studio as a whole.  We try to keep renters in the rooms they request, but if the situation arises, you may be asked to use a different room than you originally intended. If you need to change rooms or use more than one room, you must speak to the office ahead of time.
